Why We Work - Happy 4 years, Nick

 Nick and I celebrated 4 wonderful years since we started dating on Sunday.

F O U R whole years.

We have been through a whole heck of a lot in those 1,460 days. And I wouldn't change a thing.

Well, maybe a few small things - but they made us who we are today, so I guess I can't truly say that, right?

I am so thankful to have such a caring and driven man by my side.

He makes every day that much more worth living.

We work so well as couple for so many reasons.

We work because he has always loved my daughter like his own.

He would do anything for her. And for me.

We work because he makes me laugh. And, more importantly, I make him laugh.

We are almost always having a good time.

We work because we truly are each other’s best friend.

We work because we get each other.

I have never met someone who completely understands me the way he does.

We work because we know that we can count on each other, through anything and everything.

We work because I cook dinner and he washes the dishes.

We also work because he also makes dinner and still does the dishes.

We work because we both have an intense love of ham and pineapple pizza, which HE introduced me to.

We work because we simply love to be together.

I could spend all day, every day with him and never get tired of it.

We work because we genuinely want each other to be happy.

We work hard to maintain balance, love, and happiness in our relationship.

We work because he always kisses me goodbye every morning, even though I’m still asleep; And he texts me on his way to work to let me know he loves me and hopes that I’m sleeping well.

We work because we both support each other’s goals and dreams 110%.

We work because we have given each other a driving force in life.

We work because we ground each other.

After long, stressful days at work, all we need is to hold each other and all is right again in the world.

We work because he can make bangin’ pancakes, whereas I cannot.

We work because he fits in with my family like a glove.

We work because he puts up with my crabbiness and hardly ever gives me any in return.

 We work because we like to experience new things and new places together.

 We work because we are still little kids at heart, and likely always will be.

Most of all, we work because we love each other. We work because we respect each other. We respect our relationship. We work because we make each other strive to be the best versions of ourselves. I wouldn't want to do life with anyone else by my side, Nick.

Here's to four years, and a million more.
